Back To The 70’s Vibes

Back To The 70’s Vibes

I have always loved the vintage sounds (and clothes!) from the 70’s, and particularly the smoothness the Univibe. It was definitely missing in my guitar software effects arsenal, and it’s pretty hard to find as a plug-in, so I had to build my own!

After a couple of months experimenting with various methods, I finally managed to write a plug-in that can emulate those good old 70’s Vibes (and do a lot more).

Here is a little demo video of the PolyVibe plug-in that I did for Blue Cat Audio. Definitely inspired by some famous 60’s/70’s songs, and some more personal things too.

I just went thru a couple of factory presets with some of my favorite amp emulations from Axiom, and the inspiration struck pretty quickly. That’s the magic of this effect!

Note: like most of the time, there is no backing track here, it’s all “real instruments”, recorded by myself.
