An Afternoon With The PRS Fiore
Sometimes taking a new instrument into your hands is like a breathe of fresh air and brings new ideas right away!
Here are a few explorations recorded this afternoon with the PRS Fiore Amaryllis received at the office yesterday – a very inspiring instrument!
Of course, since it’s Mark Lettieri’s guitar, it had to get funky at some point! It’s not a full demo yet, but it sounds like a good starting point.

- All guitar tracks: PRS Fiore plugged into Blue Cat’s Axiom for amp sims, comp, delays & reverb. With Blue Cat’s AcouFiend plug-in for feedback simulation.
- Bass guitar: Warwick Streamer, processed by Axiom‘s Amp simulation.
- I am not playing all drums part this time (only breaks & cymbals on slow parts). But still using the Addictive Drums plug-in by XLN Audio.
Tones & Presets
For guitar tones, I used my “live” setup, with my favorite clean amp (“Texas Comp” factory preset) and some built-in virtual pedals in front of it (Compressor, Overdrive or the “Crunch Pressor”), and a Tape Ping Pong delay factory preset from Late Replies:
To get some more bite for the last part of the guitar solo, I used another factory amp (Lead channel), with the Crunch Pressor that acts as a bright boost with a bit of crunch:
That’s it! For the bass guitar, it’s just the stock “Classic Motown” amp sim, with some pre and post compression:
