The Escape(d) Song (2021)

The Escape(d) Song (2021)

This tune is quite different from what I usually write, and the main theme came with the melody right away (which is a pretty unusual process for me!), while exploring some chords inversions on the guitar.

Some more chords were added later, while writing a background piano part, inspiring some new melodies. You will probably notice that the drums sounds are unusual too: I am using a custom kit with a couple of percussions, and a Cajon instead of a bass drum. And it’s all played with brushes for a softer tone.
