EleMental Bazaar (2015-2022)
Please welcome my new instrumental tune, “EleMental Bazaar”!
EleMental Bazaar
Here is the story: playing new instruments is always very inspiring. The first time I played with a 7 Strings guitar in 2015, the main riffs of this song came pretty quickly, but it took a couple of years to find out what I would do with these.
EleMental Bazaar was started as a jazzy jam, with the main 7 strings funky riff complemented with slow chords on keyboards, and the second part, which sounds a bit heavier… :-).
To keep the idea of a crazy instrumental jam around these ideas (and because I am lazy), all solo parts and melodies are improvised (with several takes) using different instruments, except for the recurring riff/melody that acts as a chorus, even though it is not exactly the same every time.
My initial idea was to play both guitar and bass parts with this 7 strings guitar, but I finally ended up playing a 5 strings bass guitar to add lower notes an octave below – because you always need more bass, and there is no jam session without a bass player!
